Mr. Knox is a fifteen year veteran of the Houston Police Department where he originated the Houston Police Department Westside Command Divisional Gang Unit. He is a founding member of the Texas Gang Investigators Association and has served on Texas Governor Bush's Juvenile Justice Task Force.

Mr. Knox has written a book on the subject of gangs called Gangsta in the House: Understanding Gang Culture. He presents seminars to teachers and law enforcement communities throughout the United States and Canada and provides programs for youths and adults.
